A citizen of Egypt, Currently Resident in Bahrain , Walaa has over 16 years of supply chain management experience with 2 Fortune 500 firms. His career has included stints in consulting, quality assurance and logistics; jobs have ranged from direct supervision of Planners at 25 years of age to Senior Director of Supply Chain Operations at a multi-billion dollar international company heading up the SC division with >120 employees. Walaa has extensive knowledge of the FMCG ( Detergents , Paper ) industry in Middle East working 14 consecutive years for Procter and Gamble EMEA then for Kimberly Clark Middle East . He spent as well 3 years helping building the Distribution footprint for P&G in Nigeria

Walaa is a regular speaker on supply chain issues and trends making over 160 hours of presentations annually to management groups. In 2016 he spoke at THE ISLI SUPPLY CHAIN FORUM 2016 ,KEGDE Business School. 2015, and he presented the Supply Networks Restructure at ‘ISC’ Turkey 2015 in Istanbul. In 2013 he spoke at ‎the College of International Transport & Logistics - AASTMT, Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime University, British University in Cairo, Masr International University, Russian University in Cairo, Alexandria University , Ismailia University. Additionally, Walaa has been an Active member in the Summits in Middle East for Supply Chain and Logistics and roundtables for CSCMP US and a fellow charted member in the CILT UK.

In addition to heading up SCO which specializes in supply chain efficiencies and logistics strategy, Walaa serves on the advisory board for Integrated Supply Chain Management Middle East. Heading the WAMDA MEA Consultancy for Supply Chain Solution, the first consultancy Specialized in Supply Chain to be based in Egypt to gain the authorization from GAFI (General Authority For Investments).

Walaa is a proud “learner” living with motto to learn from every situation and person he meets with, always quoting his mentors from all over the world. Walaa is a believer on Fresh Graduates are the next supply chain leaders, he has been advocating this and  participating effectively in conferences and summits to change the Middle East culture looking into the fresh grades as a risk not an opportunity.

Walaa will be available as well within June2016 in SPAIN to share the SC in Middle East Challenges. And In USA September 2016 to Participate with His mentor in the “Supply Chain Insights Global Summit” held in Arizona, USA.
